Big Valley Sportfishing Adventures provides fishing charters in Vancouver and surrounding areas. Guided jet boat fishing tours are offered on the Fraser River for up to five species of Salmon and Sturgeon. The Harrison River has opportunities to fish Salmon, Sturgeon and Trout, as well as unique opportunities to view majestic eagles gathering in large numbers in October and November each year. We offer some great walk and wade opportunities in the Chilliwack area on the Sumas and Vedder/Chilliwack River for Salmon and Steelhead. We can accommodate small to large groups as well as corporate and team building groups. Our team is here to ensure an unforgettable experience.
We all love a challenge and fishing for Sturgeon on the Fraser River will give you just that. A Sturgeon fishing charter in Vancouver and surrounding area is a great way to get away from the day to day rat race. A short drive is all it takes to get into some exceptional fishing and to experience the sights of Fraser river from a purpose – built aluminum jet boat as we travel to our fishing locations. Sturgeon are known to grow to sizes exceeding 10 feet. Every year there are several Sturgeon landed that well over 8 feet long and a bucket list fish is a real possibility on any fishing tour.
A Custom-Made Adventure
We offer fishing tours ranging from a fully guided day in our covered, heated 21’ Custom Weld Jetboat targeting Sturgeon and Salmon, to a walk and wade day on the smaller rivers targeting Steelhead in the winter months. A multi-day trip with a secondary activity such as Eagle watching or Photography is a popular choice for anglers who have varied interests within the group. With years of experience guiding on the Fraser River for Sturgeon, our success rate is better than 95%, which means that you can expect the best.
The clean, clear water of the Harrison River is an amazing place to fish for Sturgeon and Salmon, both of which are readily caught here. The clear water with its great visibility brings a whole new perspective to fishing. It is a great feeling when you can see a Salmon chasing down a lure before the strike or watching a Sturgeon coming up from the depths just before a powerful jump.
