The last few weeks have been good for our guided sturgeon fishing to say the least. Some big fish caught and released with some great memories along the way for our client.

From day to day the productive areas have been a moving target, some days have been good down in the Mission area and others have been good up toward the Chilliwack / Harrison area. Baits of choice continue to be pike minnow, salmon parts and lamprey eel.

We have found that the bite is either really aggressive or the one pull type of bite. If the fish in the area just give the one pull type of bite we have found it good to downsize the bait to try and maximize the hookups. Frustrating as it may be to wait out these fish that just don’t want to commit it has been a good idea to not leave biting fish. If you are getting the odd bite just give it a bit more time, rather than moving around after a short time at anchor like you would do at other times of the year.

We have some opening for August for our Fraser river fishing charter, give us a call for more info.
